After 30+ years as a nurse, I’m trying something totally different-website design! I’m about 5 weeks into a two year part-time certificate program to become a website designer.
I’ve been in college on and off for most of my adult life, earning a diploma as an LPN, an Associate’s Degree in Registered Nursing, a BS and MS in Psychology, and now this. I love being in school. It’s such a hopeful place where people are working on their futures. It’s a place of dreams and working to make them come true. I love going to classes, sitting in the cafeteria working on my homework, watching the other students. If I could get paid for being a student, I’d take that job. I’m good at it and I love doing it.
So I’m feeling hopeful. I always do better when my time is structured and when I’m working on a project of some sort. It’s been about 7 years since I was last in school as a student (I’ve taught, too, which I also like), so it’s nice to get back into it again.
Obviously, this is different than my usual posts here, but I wanted to share with all of you the exciting news (well, exciting for me, anyway). At 55 years old, it’s exciting to be starting new. It’s never too late to change your life for the better!
